Mission:
To lead in the development of a collaborative statewide system of prevention, public awareness, and provision of services and supports driven by the needs of individuals with brain injury. Adopted July 2006.
Function:
The Missouri Head Injury Advisory Council studies and makes recommendations to policy makers to improve, expand, coordinate and develop a service delivery system, including prevention, for survivors of head injury and their families.

Member Requirements: 4 must represent people with brain injuries or relatives of persons with brain injuries, and 11 other individuals from professional groups, health institutions, community groups or private industry.
