Function:
The Missouri State Board of Health reviews and advises on the rules and regulations promoted by the Department of Health and Senior Services; and provides comment to the Director of the Department of Health and Senior Services regarding the promulgation of rules and regulations by the Department of Health, formulation of the department's proposed budget, and planning for and operation of the Department of Health and Senior Services.

Compensation: Members receive a per diem not to exceed $25 for each day devoted to the affairs of the board and reimbursement for realized and necessary expenses.
Member Requirements: 3 members must be licensed physicians and surgeons licensed by the State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts; 1 member must be a dentist licensed by the Missouri Dental Board; 1 member must be a chiropractic physician licensed by the Missouri State Board of Chiropractic Examiners; 2 must be persons other than those licensed by the State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts, the Missouri Dental Board or the Missouri State Board of Chiropractic Examiners and must be representative of those persons, professions and businesses which are regulated and supervised by the Department of Health and Senior Services
