Term length: Serve at the pleasure of the Governor. The Governor at his discretion may appoint ex-officio members to the Council
Compensation: Members receive reimbursement for realized and necessary expenses
Member Requirements: The Chairman of the Council shall be the Director of the Department of Public Safety. The Vice Chairman of the Council shall be the Director of the Division of Homeland Security. Other members of the Council shall include: the Director of the State Emergency Management Agency, the Directors of Health and Senior Services, Transportation, Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Economic Development, the Chief Information Officer of the State, the State Adjutant General, the Superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the State Fire Marshal, the Commissioner of the Water Patrol, the Chairman of the Public Service Commission, and three public members appointed by the governor.
