Function:
The Board of Senior Services reviews and advises on the rules and regulations impacting senior services promulgated by the Department of Health and Senior Services; advises the Director on the formulation of the departments' proposed budget, and planning for and operation of the Department of Health and Senior Services.

Compensation: Members receive a per diem not to exceed $25 for attendance of each meeting and reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses.
Member Requirements: 1 person must be in the field of gerontology; 1 person must be a physician with expertise in geriatrics; 1 person shall have experience in nutrition; 1 person shall have expertise in rehabilitation services of persons with disabilities; 1 person shall have expertise in mental health issues; the remaining 2 persons shall have special interest in gerontology or disability-related issues, including senior services.
